Summer Camps

Peninsula School of the Arts is excited to announce our 2024 Summer Camps!

With 4 amazing summer camp options for all ages and abilities you are sure to find the perfect camp for your family.

Each week of camp will have a designated theme which is sure to spark creativity and keep your student active this summer. Camp participants will present their work to their parents at the end of each week with a short performance.

My First Dance Camp

Camp Registration

M-F 3-5pm
Ballet 3-4pm, Music with Lori & RJ 4-5pm
Cost: Deposit $25 + $150 tuition per week
Ages: 3-6

My First Dance Camp is the perfect summer camp for our youngest aspiring dancers. Students ages 3-6 will learn and explore basic ballet, dance movement and music in a fun, creative way. Parents will be invited to watch their students in a mini-showcase on the last day of camp.

Week 1: Animal Dances
July 8th-12th
Join us for a week and transform into many different animals! We will be dancing to the beautiful music of Carnival of the Animals and much more. We will also be singing our best animal songs and moving along with Lori & RJ!

Week 2: Dancing Around the World
July 15th-19th
Join us this week as we go on a worldwide adventure in dance and music! Students will enjoy dancing and singing to music from international cultures.

All students are encouraged to attend the July 20 -21 Peninsula International Dance Festival to celebrate Dancing Around the World Week. Students enrolled that week will receive a discount code to the performance.

Week 3: Dancing Under Water
July 22nd-26th
Dive with us and discover the enchantment of the Under Water World. From graceful mermaids to cute jellyfish, each day is a journey into the mesmerizing realm beneath the waves. We will also be singing our best aquatic songs and moving along with Lori & RJ!

Dance Camp

Music with Lori & RJ 3-4pm, Ballet 4-5pm, Rehearsal 5-6pm
Cost: Deposit $25 + $250 tuition per week
Ages: 7-12

Peninsula School of the Arts summer dance camp is for ages 7-12. Students will participate in classes such as ballet technique and choreography in addition to special classes on make-up, hair, and more.

Week 1: Dancing Amongst the Stars
July 8th-12th
Embark on a space adventure with us as we will be Dancing Amongst the Stars! Dancers will be traveling through the galaxy using music and choreography as exploration tools. We will also be singing along and dancing with Lori & RJ!

Week 2: Dancing Around the World
July 15th-19th
Join us this week as we go on a worldwide adventure in dance and music! Students will enjoy dancing to music from international cultures.

Cost: Deposit $25 + $450 tuition per week
Ages: 13-18

Peninsula School of the Arts Summer Intensive Program is for students ages 13-18. Students will participate in classes such as ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe, variations, choreography, conditioning, floor barre and contemporary.

Week 1: Don Quixote
July 8th-12th
Join us this week as we dive into the ballet of Don Quixote. Our program offers an immersive experience where students refine their technique and explore character interpretation and artistry.

Week 2: Dancing Around the World
July 15th-19th
Join us this week as we go on a worldwide adventure in dance! Students will enjoy dancing to music from international cultures.

Week 3: Giselle
July 22nd-26th
Join us this week as we dive into a timeless classic, Giselle, a hauntingly beautiful tale of love, betrayal, and redemption. Our program offers an immersive experience where participants refine their technique and explore character interpretation and artistry.

Hip-Hop Mini Camp

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday ONLY 1:00 - 3:00pm
Cost: Deposit $25 + $90 tuition
Ages: 5-10

A three day Hip-Hop camp with our very own Mr. Ninja! There will be a short performance on the last day of camp.

Dancing Around the World
July 17th-19th
Join us this week as we go on a worldwide adventure in dance! Students will enjoy dancing to music from international cultures.

All students are encouraged to attend the July 20 -21 Peninsula International Dance Festival to celebrate Dancing Around the World Week. Students enrolled that week will receive a discount code to the performance.

All Day and Aftercare Camp

M-F 9am-3pm (aftercare information below)
Cost: Deposit $25 + $450 tuition per week
Ages: 6-10

July 22nd-26th

Students will learn about dance and movement, enjoy stories, games, and arts and crafts, and sing and dance along with special guest musicians, Lori & RJ! Send your child with a bagged lunch and snacks as there will be lunch and snack breaks throughout the day.

Aftercare

M-F 3-5pm
Cost: Deposit $25 + $200 tuition per week
Ages: 6-10

July 22nd-26th

According to the weather, students will either play at the playground or stay at the studio to read books, make puzzles, color along and play with friends. If signed up, you can pick up your child anytime between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm.

Meet Lori & RJ

Meet Lori and RJ, the dynamic duo and multi-award-winning former hosts of KTVU Fox2 Kids Club and WB20 Kids Cartoon. With a rich background in family entertainment and homeschool teaching, Lori and RJ bring their passion for music and creativity to this exciting summer camp.

Lori is not just an accomplished vocalist and instrumentalist; she is also a talented writer of stories and songs, and a versatile character actor. Her main instruments are rhythm guitar and keyboard, providing a unique blend of melody and harmony to the camp's musical experiences.

RJ is a musical virtuoso who plays a variety of instruments, with the bass as his main ax. He is not only a singer and dancer but also a talented songwriter with his own recording studio. As the musical director of Cotton Candy Express Music, RJ ensures that every day is an ever-changing, immersive musical experience.

Peninsula School of the Arts 2024 summer programs will be conducted in-person only. All students that enter the studio must follow county and state guidelines, as well as additional safety guidelines and protocols implemented by Peninsula Lively Arts.
Cancellation Policy: A $25 nonrefundable deposit is due at the time of registration for all summer camps. If you need to cancel your summer camp registration Peninsula School of the Arts must be notified prior to July 1, 2024. Full camp tuition is due July 1st or upon the day of registration, if registering after July 1, 2024.
