Raina Sacksteder
Raina Sacksteder is a dancer, educator, choreographer, and visual artist residing in the Bay Area. She trained at Capitol Ballet Company under the instruction of Stuart Carroll and Sharon Newton, and attended intensives with American Ballet Theatre, Cincinnati Ballet, and LINES Ballet. As a freelance dancer, she has performed with Alma Esperanza Cunningham Movement, eMotion Arts, Tandy Beal and Company, and several other groups throughout the west coast. She is Pointe Safe Certified from SF Performing Arts PT and is the director of the Youth Ballet Company at the Tannery World Dance and Cultural Center. Raina also holds a BA in biology from Reed College and an MS in microbiology from UC Santa Cruz.
