Vinnie Jones

Vinnie Jones received her early dance training in Portsmouth, New Hampshire studying ballet, jazz, and modern dance. She went on to the University of Utah where she got her BFA in dance performance, teaching, and character dance. She has danced professionally with Ballet Tucson, San Diego Ballet, Menlowe Ballet, and LaMov Compania de Danza of Spain. She has also danced with Bay Area choreographer Marika Brussel, Menlowe Ballet, Peninsula Ballet Theatre, and Oakland Ballet. With these companies she has performed principal roles in Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Le Corsaire, and Balanchine's Serenade.

In 2019 she co-founded em(body) dance project and created several works and dance films with the company. She especially hopes to portray the stories of women and queer people, whose stories have been missing from the dance world. She hopes to continue creating through the Bay Area and beyond. She is very excited to be presenting a work on the main stage with Peninsula Ballet Theatre.
