Vi Vu

At 12 years old, Vi began her dance journey with Vietnamese traditional dancing, later learning contemporary, modern, and hip-hop dance. Within choreography, she directed award-winning competition teams and organized events like Prelude NorCal. For freestyle, Vi has battled (and won!) various events, including the Red Bull DYS Qualifier and Queen of TurfInc 3.

Her style now mainly comprises of hip-hop, turfing, and waving, though influences from her dance history still pull through. With nearly two decades of experience under her belt, she has kept busy dancing in cultural, recreational, and industry productions, such as SAMMAY’s recent production TWHIAUS and GAP’s Linen Moves campaign.

This year, she is ecstatic to return to Hip-Hop Nutcracker as a principal dancer to bring holiday joy in a new way.
